Our U14s welcomed Cowbridge to Hailey Park today for what we knew would be a tough encounter based on previous meetings. After a few weekends with no rugby it took some time for the lads to get going, making the first half a tough day at the office with some basic mistakes giving Cowbridge a healthy lead at half time.

We had an honest conversation at half time and challenged the boys — which the coaches are pleased to say they responded to by winning the second half 14–10, so a little something positive to take from today's game.

Still some good performances on the pitch today. Rory and Luca in the backs, running some hard lines, scoring tries and making important tackles. Also the silent assassin Elliott S — he hit every ruck, carried hard and made a lot of tackles. Also a special mention to Elliott W who came on and was a menace at the breakdown, turned the ball over a few times, carried and tackled hard. Well done boys 💪

Plenty to work on in training Wednesday with hopefully the squad back to full strength.
