The sun was out and our warriors were eager to put a few wrongs right from last Sunday — and what a treat the supporters on the sideline were in for.

Whitchurch knew NHSOB would be physical and quick, but started applying plenty of pressure from the off. Against the run of play, NHSOB struck first — but heads stayed up. That's been the story of this squad's growth: earlier in the season, a setback like that might have knocked us. Not today.

Jay responded with a well-taken try, Luca adding the conversion to level things up at 7–7. NHSOB edged back in front, but Whitchurch kept knocking the door — Elliott S crossed for a converted try to restore the lead, and Luca rounded off a superb first half with another try and conversion to send the Warriors in at half time 21–12. 👍

The second half was a proper physical battle. Credit to both teams — bone-crunching tackles, excellent rucking and some brilliant team tries from both sides. NHSOB came out firing and pulled it back to 21–19, but Whitchurch steadied. Luca struck again — a signature effort, going the full width of the field before touching down in the corner — to edge it to 26–19.

NHSOB's scrum was dominant, but Whitchurch managed the game intelligently, kicking where needed and avoiding scrums where they could. Game management, work rate, and a real desire to win did the job — Vickery powered over for the final score, Luca adding the conversion to seal it. Full time: 33–19. Win for the Warriors! 🏉

A team performance like that gave the coaches a real headache when it came to picking standouts — so everyone agreed the whole squad deserves a shout out. And it's thoroughly deserved. 🥂

Special mention to Dominique Tanti — Dominique unfortunately came last in the parents' Six Nations fantasy league, so was fully kitted out in Whitchurch colours and served as official water carrier (for about 10 minutes 😄). A good sport!
